An F1 hybrid is the first-generation cross of two stable parent lines. The result is a batch of plants that grow at the same pace, to the same height, with the extra vigor that comes from crossing two distinct lines. A tent full of them looks like one plant repeated, and that is where a label earns its place.
What is on the label
The front carries the F1 Hybrid seed type and a photo of a finished plant, printed in the color that marks F1 hybrids across the Barney's Farm label range. The back has four write-on fields: Strain Name, Seedling Date, Veg Date and Flower Date. The Barney's Farm sun logo sits on both sides.
When every plant stretches to the same height and flowers in the same week, the details that matter are the small ones: which plant took a new feed, which one was topped, which one went out to the greenhouse. A label per plant keeps each of those details tied to the right pot.
Four dates for a photoperiod F1
The F1 Hybrid label is for photoperiod F1 plants, which stay in veg until the light schedule changes. The seedling, veg and flower dates on the back cover the whole run, and the flower date is day one of the countdown to harvest.
Waterproof and UV stable
Watering, foliar sprays, grow lights and outdoor sun do not lift the print or wash out the writing. The stake stands 12.8 cm tall and reads from outside the tent.
Packs of 3, 5 or 10
A pack of 3 covers a small run. A pack of 5 marks a full tent of F1s or a side-by-side test of two strains.
