It suits a 4x4 or 5x5 tent. In a 3x3 or smaller it moves far more air than you need, so you would run it at a low speed.
Expect it to be louder than the lab noise figure once the filter and ducting are connected, but EC fans are quiet at part speed, and most growers never need full power. Hang it rather than resting it on a hard surface, and keep duct runs short and straight to cut the noise further.
Hang the carbon filter high in the tent where the warmest air collects, connect it to the fan's intake side, and duct the fan's output out of the tent. The fan then pulls stale air through the carbon before it leaves.
The filter is refillable. Fresh carbon about every 3 months of use is a good guide, but the real sign is smell getting through. High humidity and heavy flowering odor wear the carbon out faster.
