When you start to smell the grow outside the tent. Every 3 months is a starting point, and humid air or heavy flowering odor will shorten it.
Wash the pre-filter sleeve every few weeks so dust does not clog the carbon, and let it dry fully before refitting. Keep the carbon itself dry, and keep tent humidity under control.
