One or two. It is sized for a 2' x 2' to 2.5' x 2.5' tent, which takes one plant in a large pot or two in smaller ones. Any more and the plants shade each other and the edges of the tent get too little light.
It will take a plant all the way through flower. The full spectrum with added deep red is built for every stage, so you simply turn the dimmer up as the plant grows and run it at full power once you switch to flowering.
Start at the recommended height and watch the top leaves. If they bleach, yellow at the tips or curl upwards, raise the light or dim it. If the plant stretches with long gaps between nodes, it wants more light, so lower it or turn it up.
No. The driver is not designed to be detached and run remotely, so it stays with the fixture. The light runs cool enough that keeping it inside a small tent is not a problem as long as the tent has an exhaust fan.
