Toad Venom clones are rooted, female cuttings from our Toad Venom line, drawn from Animal Face and Sin Mintz genetics. The plant is 60% sativa with a THC content of 27% and a flowering time of 60 to 65 days.
One Toad Venom, no pheno hunt
The sour lime, mint and diesel nose is the reason people grow this strain. A clone puts that nose on every plant in the set, with no sorting through a pack to find it.
Planning the stretch from a clone
Toad Venom roughly doubles in height across the first two to three weeks of flower and finishes at 110 to 140cm (43 to 55 inches) indoors. A clone starts flowering the day the light cycle changes, so the flip height is the number that matters. Flip at around 40% of your target height. Two to three weeks of veg is enough, with one topping and some low-stress training before the lights change.
A level canopy across the set
Three clones from one mother stretch by the same amount, so the canopy stays flat and the light can sit at one height for the whole tent. The colas finish dense. Bring relative humidity down to 45% from week six and keep air moving through the canopy.
Keeping a Toad Venom mother
Hold one cut back in veg under 18 hours of light and you have a mother for later runs. Take cuttings from new growth, sterilize the blade between cuts and keep the mother in her own clean space.
Toad Venom outdoors
Outdoors, Toad Venom reaches around 200cm (about 6.5 feet), with harvest in the first to second week of October. It wants a Mediterranean climate or a long, dry fall. In humid or rainy regions, run it indoors or in a greenhouse.
All Barney's Farm clones are cut and rooted at our California cultivation site and ship overnight with UPS in a box with a built-in LED light.
