What happens if my seeds don't germinate?
Barney’s Farm offers a germination guarantee in cases where none—or an exceptionally high percentage—of seeds fail to germinate. If only a small number of seeds do not germinate, this is typically due to factors outside our control, such as individual growing techniques, environmental conditions, or grower experience.
All Barney’s Farm seeds undergo strict quality control, including germination testing, prior to release and are not brought to market until consistently high germination rates (over 99%) have been achieved. Our website provides detailed germination guidance, as factors such as temperature and humidity play a significant role in germination success.
Submitting a germination claim
To allow us to properly review and assess your claim, please provide all of the following information:
1. Your order number or proof of purchase
2. The strain name(s) and number of seeds that did not germinate
3. The batch (lot) number listed on the back of the seed pack.
4. Clear photos showing the germination issue
5. A brief description of how the seeds were stored prior to germination
6. A brief description of your germination method (medium used, temperature, timeframe, humidity, etc.)
Please note that we are unable to issue replacements or credits unless all of the above information is provided, as it is required to validate and document the claim.
Once we receive the complete details, our team will review the information and respond within five business days.
Important: Promotional or free seeds are not eligible for replacement under the germination guarantee.
