Cannabis Profile

Skunk #1 Regular by Barney's Farm

Skunk #1 is the gold standard against which you measure all other strains. Opting for regular seeds gives you access to the raw, vigorous genetics that revolutionized the industry in the 1970s. Perfect for your breeding ambitions, these seeds allow you to hunt for the ultimate phenotype—combining the reliability of the Afghan lineage with the soaring highs of its Sativa parents. You are getting the stable, high-performance engine you want driving your garden.

Skunk #1 displays impressive hybrid vigor, developing a robust structure with strong branches capable of supporting the heavy colas you desire. The buds are large, dense, and lime-green, contrasting beautifully with the high bud-to-leaf ratio. You can expect a dazzling display of resin that gives the flowers a silver sheen by harvest time.

As the name suggests, this strain delivers a strong, all-encompassing pungency that is sweet, sour, and undeniably "skunky". Beneath the prominent main note, you will notice subtle hints of earth and musk. Proper air filtration is essential, as this aromatic powerhouse announces its presence long before it becomes visible.

The flavor profile is an old-school classic, delivering a sweet, earthy base with sharp bursts of sour citrus. The body is rich and expansive, coating your mouth with a savory, funky sweetness. It’s a complex taste that balances the deep, resinous notes of the Afghan parent with the tropical brightness of the Golds.

Skunk #1 offers you a perfectly balanced high that starts with an energetic, cerebral jolt of creativity and euphoria. This initial rush slowly settles into a comfortable, relaxing body stone that soothes your muscles without weighing you down. It is a versatile strain suitable for both your social situations and creative solo endeavors.

Known for its incredible uniformity and reliability, Skunk #1 is a joy to grow. The regular genetics ensure unmatched vigor, making these plants highly responsive when you apply topping and LST (Low Stress Training). Its sturdy structure naturally supports the weight of its massive yields, reducing your need for excessive staking.

Flowering time falls within the moderate range of 65–75 days. Indoors, plants grow taller than pure Indicas, reaching 120–150cm, and you can yield an impressive 500g/m². Outdoors, this strain can get big, reaching up to 200cm and producing up to 800g per plant by the 3rd or 4th week of October. THC levels are potent, testing at 26%.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Skunk #1 - Regular by Barneys Farm is 30% Sativa and 70% Indica

Store Skunk #1 - Regular seeds in a cool, dark place in an airtight container, ideally in a refrigerator. Avoid freezing and make sure they are properly labeled and dated.

Germinate at 70°F-90°F (21°C-32°C). Below 70°F can delay or stop germination; above 90°F can cause poor germination and increase the risk of seedlings drying out.

If allowed in your location, we recommend using the paper towel method: place the seeds between damp paper towels, keep them warm and dark, and check daily to ensure the paper towel remains moist.

Once germinated, transfer them to soil or similar growth media, making a small hole 5-10 mm deep with a match or pen. Gently place the sprouted seed root-down in the hole. Avoid handling seeds with your hands; use a match or similar tool to position them.

No! By carefully transitioning your seedlings from small pots to larger containers, you can ensure your Skunk #1 - Regular plants develop strong, healthy roots that will support vigorous growth. Smaller pots tend to dry out more quickly, encouraging the roots to spread in search of moisture and nutrients, thereby allowing for better management of watering and nutrient uptake, promoting a healthier and more robust root system and growth potential.
