Glass, plastic and paper all keep a share of whatever concentrate you put in them. Silicone gives it back, which is why it is the material most dab smokers end up carrying their concentrate in.
Why silicone for concentrates
Wax, shatter, rosin and budder are sticky by nature and cling to glass, plastic and paper. Silicone is non-stick, so a dab tool lifts the last of the concentrate out without scraping. The walls are soft and flexible, which means the pot can be squeezed to loosen material, and it will not shatter if it hits the floor.
What else it carries
The same non-stick walls suit kief, which clings to most surfaces through static, and a nug or two of flower for the day. The size fits a coin pocket. Four colors, white, blue, orange and yellow, make it easy to keep different concentrates apart.
Short-term carry, long-term storage
Silicone is for carrying and for the concentrate you are using this week. For keeping rosin or live resin over months, move it to a sealed glass jar in the fridge, where the terpenes stay put longer. Let cold concentrate come to room temperature before opening so condensation does not form on it.
Cleaning
Wipe out residue with a paper towel dipped in isopropyl alcohol, then wash the pot in warm soapy water and let it dry. For stubborn resin, put the empty pot in the freezer for a few minutes. Frozen concentrate peels away in one piece.
