The effect lands as a fruity rush of joy and euphoria, followed by a deeply calming relaxation that quiets busy thoughts without shutting you down. Many people describe it as thoughtful and philosophical once the body has settled.
It suits late afternoons and evenings. At 30% THC, one or two draws is plenty for most people.
The aroma is orange candy, spicy pineapple and tropical sweets, with a perfumed lavender note and a twist of clementine. Hints of orange marzipan often develop in late flower.
On the palate it is citrus and creamy fruit candy with pineapple on the finish. The smoke is dense and sweet, and a cure of at least three weeks keeps the candy notes clean.
Runtz Muffin grows as a medium-height, well-branched plant with a moderate stretch. Indoors it finishes at 100 to 120cm (39 to 47 inches) after about four weeks of veg and yields 550 to 650g/m².
Top once and use low-stress training to spread the canopy, or run a screen of green to even out the tops. It is a forgiving plant and suits growers at any level who can keep humidity in check.
Keep daytime temperatures at 75 to 80°F (24 to 27°C) in flower, and feed at a moderate strength, because the Gelato side shows tip burn when pushed.
Finished buds often show subtle purple tones against deep green, and cooler nights in the last two weeks help that color along. A night temperature about 10°F (5 to 6°C) below the day is enough.
The buds finish sticky and heavy with resin. Taper nitrogen once the stretch ends, hold relative humidity at or below 50% from week five, and keep air moving through the lower canopy.
Outdoors, Runtz Muffin grows to 150 to 200cm (5 to 6.5 feet) and can produce up to 1,000g (about 35 oz) per plant, with harvest in the first to second week of October.
It does best in a warm, dry fall. In regions where the rain arrives early, a greenhouse or rain cover keeps the resinous buds safe through the final weeks.
At 56 to 63 days, Runtz Muffin is one of the quicker indica-leaning hybrids in our catalog. Harvest when most trichomes are cloudy with a few amber for the calm, euphoric balance it is known for.
Dry slowly for ten to fourteen days at around 60°F (16°C) and 60% humidity to protect the citrus and lavender.

Store Runtz Muffin seeds in a cool, dark place in an airtight container, ideally in a refrigerator. Avoid freezing and make sure they are properly labeled and dated.
Germinate at 70°F-90°F (21°C-32°C). Below 70°F can delay or stop germination; above 90°F can cause poor germination and increase the risk of seedlings drying out.
If allowed in your location, we recommend using the paper towel method: place the seeds between damp paper towels, keep them warm and dark, and check daily to ensure the paper towel remains moist.
Once germinated, transfer them to soil or similar growth media, making a small hole 5-10 mm deep with a match or pen. Gently place the sprouted seed root-down in the hole. Avoid handling seeds with your hands; use a match or similar tool to position them.
No! By carefully transitioning your seedlings from small pots to larger containers, you can ensure your Runtz Muffin plants develop strong, healthy roots that will support vigorous growth. Smaller pots tend to dry out more quickly, encouraging the roots to spread in search of moisture and nutrients, thereby allowing for better management of watering and nutrient uptake, promoting a healthier and more robust root system and growth potential.
