A RipTip works by making the smoke travel further than the length of the tip. Nine spiral channels inside 25mm of borosilicate glass do that, and this one wears the Barney's Farm colorway on the outside.
The 9-channel vortex
A straight filter tip lets smoke run straight to your mouth. The RipTip channels it through nine spiral grooves, which lengthens the path and sets the smoke spinning. The extra distance cools it, and the spin keeps ash and flower from pulling through. The result is a smoother hit and a joint that burns evenly because it draws evenly.
A colorway made for Barney's Farm
The red, black and yellow stripe design is a Barney's Farm exclusive, applied as a glossy decal over the glass. It is built to stand out on a rolling tray and to be easy to spot when someone at the table picks up your tip by mistake.
Choosing the right size
The size number is the diameter in millimeters. Every RipTip is 25mm long.
9mm: Slim joints and single skins
10mm: Standard joints
11mm: Wider hand-rolled joints
12mm: King size papers and fat rolls
Cleaning without wearing the decal
Soak the tip in isopropyl alcohol for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water and dry. Clear the vortex channels with a pipe cleaner if resin sits in the grooves. Avoid scrubbing the outside with salt or abrasive pads, which can wear a decal finish over time.
