The effect starts in the head with a focused, creative lift and a tingly euphoria, then spreads into a relaxed body stone as it builds. That arc makes it a good late afternoon or early evening strain for creative projects, conversation or winding down.
The sweet flavor makes a 28% THC strain easy to underestimate, so newer consumers should start with a small amount.
The aroma is sweet and tropical, with candy and ripe fruit at the front. The flavor turns creamy on the palate, with melon and sweet fruit that stay on the tongue after the exhale. The candy note gets louder through late flower, so have carbon filtration running by week five.
Rainbow Sherbet grows as a medium-height plant with good branching and a moderate stretch. Indoors it finishes at 100 to 120cm (39 to 47 inches) and yields up to 600g/m².
Top once or twice in veg and use low-stress training to open up the center of the plant. The branches are flexible and take well to being tied down, which makes a screen of green an easy way to even out the canopy. Keep defoliation light late in flower, since the sugar leaves carry a lot of the resin and color.
Veg for four weeks for a standard tent and keep daytime temperatures at 75 to 80°F (24 to 27°C). The plant fills quickly, so an overlong veg mostly adds height you will have to manage later.
Individual plants can show several color expressions through the calyxes and sugar leaves as flowering progresses. Cooler nights in the last two weeks deepen those colors, and a night temperature about 10°F (5 to 6°C) below the day is enough.
Taper nitrogen once the stretch ends. Excess nitrogen in flower dulls both the colors and the fruit on the nose.
Moisture is the main risk. The buds finish dense and resinous and hold water in a humid room, so keep relative humidity at or below 50% from week six and keep fans moving air through the canopy.
A rushed dry comes second. Drying slowly at around 60°F (16°C) and 60% humidity keeps the candy and melon notes intact.
Outdoors, Rainbow Sherbet stays manageable at around 150cm (about 5 feet) and produces up to 1,000g (about 35 oz) per plant. Harvest arrives in the third to fourth week of September, which brings it in before the October rain in most temperate regions. Its moderate height also makes it easy to keep low in a backyard or on a patio.
Give it full sun and well-drained soil, and prune the lowest branches in midsummer to keep air moving through the base of the plant.
At 56 to 63 days, Rainbow Sherbet is one of the quicker hybrids in our catalog. The calyxes swell noticeably in the last ten days, so wait until most trichomes are cloudy before you cut.
Cure in jars for three to four weeks after the dry. The creamy side of the flavor comes through during the cure.

Store Rainbow Sherbet seeds in a cool, dark place in an airtight container, ideally in a refrigerator. Avoid freezing and make sure they are properly labeled and dated.
Germinate at 70°F-90°F (21°C-32°C). Below 70°F can delay or stop germination; above 90°F can cause poor germination and increase the risk of seedlings drying out.
If allowed in your location, we recommend using the paper towel method: place the seeds between damp paper towels, keep them warm and dark, and check daily to ensure the paper towel remains moist.
Once germinated, transfer them to soil or similar growth media, making a small hole 5-10 mm deep with a match or pen. Gently place the sprouted seed root-down in the hole. Avoid handling seeds with your hands; use a match or similar tool to position them.
