Lemon Cherry Gelato clones are rooted, female cuttings from the Barney's Farm x Backpack Boyz collaboration line, a cross of Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies. The plant is 60% indica with a THC content of 32% and a flowering time of 60 to 65 days.
A strain known by its cut
Lemon Cherry Gelato earned its reputation through standout cuts, and growers have chased those cuts ever since. From seed, a grower sorts through plants to find the color and the nose they want. A clone is the selected plant, handed over rooted.
Color and resin on every plant
The flowers finish in purples, greens and deep oranges under a frosty layer of trichomes. Because all three plants in a set share one mother, they color up together. Night temperatures about 10°F (5 to 6°C) below the day in the last two weeks deepen the purple without slowing the finish.
Low tents and tight spaces
At 90 to 110cm (35 to 43 inches) indoors, Lemon Cherry Gelato is among the shortest plants in the clone collection. Two to three weeks of veg and a flip at half your target height keeps it comfortable in a low tent.
Environment and training
This is a plant for a controlled room. Hold daytime temperatures at 75 to 80°F (24 to 27°C) and bring relative humidity down to 45 to 50% for the last three weeks. It responds well to training, so top once in veg and tie the branches out to spread the canopy.
Yield and harvest window
Indoors, Lemon Cherry Gelato yields up to 600g/m². Outdoors it reaches about 140cm (4.5 feet) and produces up to 1,000g (about 35 oz) per plant, with harvest in the second to third week of October. Growers in wet regions should finish it in a greenhouse.
