Jelly Cake clones are rooted, female cuttings from our Jelly Cake line, a cross of Biscotti and Sunset Sherbet. The plant is 80% indica with a THC content of 27% and a flowering time of 56 to 63 days, which makes it one of the quicker finishers in the clone collection.
The Jelly Cake cut
Every clone comes from one mother, so the heavy resin, the jelly-and-kiwi nose and the tight emerald flowers repeat on every plant. Our Jelly Cake grow data was recorded on this same line, so the height, yield and flowering time in the specification apply to the plant in the box.
Sea of green from clones
Sea of green depends on plants that behave identically, and a batch of clones from one mother gives you exactly that. Run six or nine Jelly Cake cuts in small pots, veg for one to two weeks and flip. Each plant puts its energy into one main cola, the canopy stays level, and the whole run turns around in nine to eleven weeks.
Training a longer veg
With three plants and three to four weeks of veg, Jelly Cake takes topping, fimming and low-stress training well. Indoors it finishes at 100 to 120cm (39 to 47 inches). After a long veg, thin the fan leaves lightly so light and air reach the bud sites in the middle of the plant.
Flower and finish
Flowering takes 56 to 63 days, and indoor yields run 400 to 500g/m². The flowers are dense and coated in resin, so hold relative humidity at 45 to 50% in the last three weeks and keep fans moving air through the canopy.
Outdoor runs
Jelly Cake does best in warm, sunny spots. Outdoors it reaches 180 to 220cm (6 to 7 feet) and yields up to 700g (about 25 oz) per plant, with harvest in the second to third week of September. That early finish beats the fall rain in most northern regions. Set clones out once the days pass 14 hours so they keep vegging.
