Cherry Poppers clones are rooted, female cuttings from our Cherry Poppers line, a cross of Lemon Kush and Cherry Z. The plant is 60% sativa with a THC content of 31% and a flowering time of 60 to 65 days.
One cut, one result
Potency, terpene content and structure all vary a little from plant to plant in any pack of seeds. A set of clones comes from one mother. Three Cherry Poppers cuts give you three plants with the same cherry-and-spice nose, the same resin coverage and the same ripening date.
Flip timing for a sativa-leaning clone
Plan for a sativa-style stretch. Flip when the plants reach around 40% of the height you can give them, and expect a finish of 100 to 120cm (39 to 47 inches) indoors. A clone is mature on arrival, so two to three weeks of veg is enough to build the frame. Top once and tie the branches out before the flip so the stretch fills the canopy sideways.
Flower structure and trim
The flowers run long in the sativa style, with moderate density and heavy trichome cover. A high calyx-to-leaf ratio makes them quick to trim. Keep relative humidity at or below 50% from week six and keep air moving under the canopy as well as over it.
Indoor and outdoor yield
Indoors, Cherry Poppers yields up to 600g/m². Outdoors it grows to around 200cm (about 6.5 feet) and produces up to 1,000g (about 35 oz) per plant, with harvest in the first to second week of October. Stake outdoor clones early. A cutting roots wide and shallow with no taproot, and a plant this tall needs the support.
Experience level
Cherry Poppers suits a grower with a few runs behind them. The clone takes germination and sexing off the list. What remains is canopy control at the flip and a light hand with water and feed in the first week.
