Blue Dream clones are rooted, female cuttings from our Blue Dream line, a cross of Blueberry and Super Silver Haze. The plant is 60% sativa with a THC content of 28% and a flowering time of 65 to 70 days.
A California clone classic
Blue Dream spread through California grow rooms as a shared cutting, and it stayed popular because it is vigorous, forgiving and heavy. Our clones are cut and rooted in California, from a mother in the same line as our Blue Dream seeds.
Outdoor runs from a clone
Outdoors is where Blue Dream shows its size. Plants can reach 400cm (about 13 feet) and produce up to 3,000g (about 6.6 lb) each, with harvest in the second to third week of October. A rooted clone starts the season weeks ahead of a seed. Give it open ground or a large container, and cage or stake it early, because a cutting roots wide and shallow with no taproot.
When to move clones outside
A cutting from a mature mother will flower under short days. Wait until days run 14 hours or longer in your region, then harden the plants off over several days before they stay out full time. A clone set out too early can start to flower and then turn back to veg, which costs weeks.
Indoor height and the flip
Indoors, Blue Dream finishes at 100 to 120cm (39 to 47 inches) when it is flipped on time. Plan for a sativa stretch and flip at around 40% of your target height. Two to three weeks of veg from a rooted clone is plenty, and a screen turns the stretch into an even canopy.
Mold resistance and yield
Blue Dream holds up well against common molds and mildew and is relatively easy to maintain, which makes it a sound first clone. It flowers in 65 to 70 days and yields up to 650g/m² indoors.
All Barney's Farm clones are cut and rooted at our California cultivation site and ship overnight with UPS in a box with a built-in LED light.
