Buy a glass tip once and the soggy crutch problem is finished. Three tips in one tin means one in use, one clean and one spare, which is how they stay in rotation instead of getting lost after a week.
Glass against paper
A glass tip keeps its shape all the way down, so the end of the joint draws as well as the start. It cools the smoke slightly before it reaches your lips, and it lets you smoke the last of the flower without burning your fingers. Unlike paper, it does not absorb resin or carry the taste of the last joint once it is cleaned.
Choosing your size
All three sizes are 34mm long with a flat mouthpiece. Choose by the joints you roll:
8mm: Slim rolls and single skin joints
10mm: Everyday standard joints
12mm: King size and wider joints
The tin
Each set travels in a Barney's Farm tin with a foam insert that holds the tips apart. Glass in a pocket chips. Glass in a padded tin does not.
Cleaning glass tips
Drop used tips in isopropyl alcohol with a pinch of coarse salt, shake, and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dry fully before the next roll. Clean after every few joints and resin never gets the chance to set.
